HDPE backer cards are the rigid backing component in many medical device blister and thermoform packaging systems — providing structural support, a printable surface for regulatory information, and a sealable substrate for lidding films. At PPR, we supply custom HDPE backer cards in any size, thickness, and print configuration, engineered to seal reliably with your existing packaging equipment.
Custom Sizes & Thicknesses
HDPE backer cards cut to any dimension. Standard thicknesses from 0.020" to 0.060". Custom thicknesses available for specific structural requirements.
Printable Surface Options
White HDPE with corona-treated surface for excellent ink adhesion. One and two-sided printing for UDI, lot/date, regulatory symbols, product information, and branding.
Sterilization Compatibility
HDPE is compatible with ETO, gamma, and e-beam sterilization. Backer cards supplied with documentation confirming material compatibility for your validation package.
Die-Cut & Custom Shapes
Standard rectangular cards or custom die-cut shapes to match your blister cavity layout. Hang holes, perforations, and score lines available.
Lot/Date & UDI Coding
Variable data printing for lot number, expiration date, and UDI barcodes applied inline or as secondary print operation. Thermal transfer and inkjet coding supported.
